Kırklareli, Türkiye · Since 2020
The Istrancakadın Cooperative is a women's initiative that brings together production skills, solidarity and local knowledge. From education to handcraft, from social projects to institutional partnerships, we produce together in Thrace.
About Us
We were founded in 2020, when seven women came together in Kırklareli. Our purpose is simple: to develop women's production skills, to make their labor visible and — by producing together — to strengthen their place in economic and social life.

What We Do
Skill courses and workshops ranging from sewing, embroidery, felt, ceramics and food production to literacy, entrepreneurship and leadership.
Producing, promoting and marketing our members' handmade products at home and abroad.
Community-benefit work in childcare and education, women's health, environmental awareness and the protection of street animals.
Joint projects and support programmes with public institutions, local governments, professional bodies and civil society.
Where We're Headed
We are at the start of the road, and we know where we're walking. Three priorities for the period ahead:
Putting production, entrepreneurship and life-skills training for women in and around Kırklareli on a regular calendar.
Creating a well-equipped, sustainable workshop space where our members can produce side by side.
Building long-term project partnerships with development agencies, public institutions and civil society.
